Annual Retort
This is the time of year that most companies spend a load of dough to impress their stockholders. They make much ado about gross profits and fiscal outlooks with the aid of slick photography and high gloss paper stock. Not me. I blaze my own trail, so to speak. Anyone who wants to call and ask me how I'm doin' is welcome to. Otherwise, I ain't publicizing which alleged mattress is stuffed with what quantity of alleged cash.

Dear Mme. Utton:
The following rumor, that would prove very good news for your stockholders, has come to my attention:
"An inlet of Charles River is to be renamed Utton Bay."
Is this true? Or did I just make it up? I most certainly hope it's the former.
Ms. Utton, be advised English is not M. Henri's primary language (he being French and all) so he may have misheard the rumour: "An inlet of Charles Laquidara is to be renamed Utton Bay."
I vaguely remember this Laquidara: a big shot on the radio in Boston. So now he allows a portion of himself to be renamed to serve a better purpose, and that perhaps rekindles his memory in the minds of his former listeners.
Alors, that is also good for both Utton Bay and Laquidara , n'est-ce que pas?
Today, the Laquidara, tomorrow the River!
